Problem with lua script always failing

Hi

I have some problems with lua script always failing.

I can see that it calls the functions but even when the function return 0 it fails.

I don't know what this error mean or how to fix it: ERROR installer.c : install_images : 377 : execute preinstall scripts failed 

Attached is a simple project to test this, and the log I get from the web client.

I use kirkstone branch in the meta-swupdate layer to build it in yocto and the version is SWUpdate v2025.05.0-

The problem was that I used return 0 to indicate success instead of return true
