Greetings City Council Representatives,

Please find below a statement with regards to the bill introduced by Representative Elaine Davis regarding how the City of Knoxville runs its elections. This statement has been voted on and approved by the South Woodlawn Neighborhood Association Board.

=========

We, the South Woodlawn Neighborhood Association Board of Governors, OPPOSE the changes to Knoxville city elections by the state legislature.
Our current election rules have been in effect for more than 50 years. If we feel the need to change them we will use the tools we already have to change the City Charter.

=========

We appreciate Council having a special called meeting to vote on the Resolution to oppose this legislation.

Very Sincerely
Janice Tocher
President, South Woodlawn Neighborhood Association
