Greetings neighbors,
We will have a neighborhood meeting next Monday, January 26th - 7:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Christian Church.
January is our membership outreach month… Start the new year by getting - or staying - involved in SWNA.
- Individual membership: $10.00
- Family membership: $15.00
- Seniors (over age 60): $5.00
- Business Member: $50.00
Visit our website [swna-Knox.org] to learn more about SWNA. You can download a membership form or pay dues online OR, come to our meeting and pay in person with check, cash, or credit card.
Come hungry and enjoy a spaghetti dinner THANKS to The Roundup Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor - just down the road at the corner of Lancaster and Sevierville Pike. (Meatful and vegan options available). We appreciate Sam and all he continues to do for our community!
Quineka Moten with the City's Public Service Department will be our guest speaker and will be asking our input on brush collection.
Also, come meet Karyn Adams, South Knoxville’s newly elected City Council representative. She and Debbie Helsley, SWNA Vice President and at-large council representative, will give us latest information about what’s happening in South Knoxville and the city.
We will also hear from our committee chairs, police liaison. Come hear about activities and projects in which SWNA is currently involved. Be a part of planning future projects that interest you.
All are welcome to attend! We’d love to see you! It’s a great chance to meet neighbors, hear what’s happening in the neighborhood, interact with our KPD liaison, and share ideas about what matters to you.
NOTE: At each meeting, we have at least one person who showed up because they received a flyer. We are looking for volunteers to help get the word out and deliver our meeting flyers. If you have time this week to deliver flyers on the street where you live, please send me an email -
jto...@bellsouth.net. We’ll have flyers in hand and ready for distribution tomorrow morning. As my Mum always said, many hands make light work!
Cheers!
Janice
