Class Insignia

Hi,

I am Roland and currently building a Swift. Started last year and probably finish this year.

My current problem is that the sailmaker wants to have a class insignia and a sailnumber.

Does anyone have a Class Insignia file in best case as DXF file?

The Banks sails came with a Swift bird insignia. Paul Sullivan may have access to a design file to provide to your sail maker.You may be able to reach him through this Google Group. Best wishes on your Swift Solo build.

Paul O’Sullivan may also assign your hull number.  In addition, you will need an ensign to distinguish your Swift Solo from others in the class.  I chose a “hurricane meteorological” symbol for USA020 as she was named “Isabella” for Hurricane Isabel which occurred in September 2003 when I decided to build my original Swift Solo USA040, “Isabel”. USA020 hull was started by Tom Owen and Felix in Newport, RI, USA, when I acquired her to complete the build when they could not, thus I named her “Isabella”. After completing USA020, I passed the plans and license for USA040 to Speed Thomas in California to begin his build.

Thank you for sharing your photos and please use this group to ask for assistance with your build, rigging or sailing. Your hull and transom are beautiful. Give her a name with many “A’s” for good luck. Best wishes.
