Hi Everyone

Good news- the lovely owners of the manor house on main street in Askrigg have agreed to put in three swift bricks while the scaffolding is up for other work (no swift nests on main street for years).
The guttering is flat bottomed cast iron and sits on sticky out stone lintels which is traditional here. The builder 'no problem at all' David and I need a bit of advice- where to position the brick entrances compared to the gutter. May sound pedantic but we want to get this right. There's quite a gap between the gutter and the wall, and the guttering is being replaced.
Maybe so the entrances are just below the gutter? Does it matter?

It's grade 2 listed, three storeys.

More swifts arrived today! (Sparrows ejected.....)

Thanks
Best wishes
Amanda
