SWAT and SWAT+

Hi all, could you please tell me SWAT+ is still developed? is it completed? 

Is it possible to use SWAT+ and SWAT+ toolbox officially for a project? 

or is it better to use SWAT and SWAT-CUP instead of SWAT+ and SWAT+ Toolbox?

I can see most project still use SWAT and SWAT-CUP, do you know disadvantage of SWAT+ and SWAT+ Toolbox?

Hello,

SWAT+ always (for the upcoming years, anyway) will be enhanced. Define "development", as there are always new releases and updates.

Yes, it is possible to use SWAT+ and any tool to set-up and calibrate your model. Define "officially"? :) You can find the latest version of the tools on the official site: https://swat.tamu.edu/software/plus/

No one can tell you what is better, it all depends on your are of interest, case study, data, timing, etc.

I can see that most projects are using SWAT+. Probably most older projects use swat2012 and are now being published. 

One disadvantage of SWAT+ is the limited documentation, which will be remedied quite soon.

thank you for your information. Could you please advise me what is the best way to run climate change/land use scenarios with swat plus. after calibration in swat+ toolbox I do not see option to run with new climate data (i.e with my rainfall series increase 20%). if back to qswat+ parameter list is not the same in the toolbox to fill in best parameter?

Hello,

I do not work with the toolbox, hence I have no idea how the parameters have been changed. Usually it is a matter of one file.

The way I see it, you will have to work with the text files.

Modify the climate files, print file and/or use DTs for that.
