Hello everyone,
I am trying to build a sediment model using SWAT+. In this model, it is important for me to determine the amount of sediment accumulated in the outlet channel and lateral channels, as well as the proportions of clay, silt, sand, and gravel within this sediment. However, in the TxtInOut folder, even though the files "channel_sd_xx" and "basin_sd_cha_xx" contain values in the columns san_in, sil_in, cla_in, sag_in, lag_in, and grv_in, all values in san_out, sil_out, cla_out and other similar columns are zero.
In addition, when I open
SWAT+ Editor > Edit SWAT+ inputs > Connections > Channels > Hydrology & Sediment,
nothing appears on the screen. The manual also states that this section is "currently not used".
Is there another place where I can obtain the sediment values, or should I use SWAT2012 instead of SWAT+ or old version of the Editor?
By the way, the results did not change even though I tried both the Brownlie and Yang models for the instream sediment model.
Thank you in advance for your help. I would greatly appreciate any help regarding the sediment modeling.
Osman:
I believe the first thing to try is to make a simulation run with a newer version of the model. I have included a link below with the updated executable and source codes (which I included for your review).
I have also attached a document with instructions for copying these files for the SWAT+ Editor to access.
Let me know if you have any questions and keep me posted on your progress.
