Dear SWAT Community,
I have monthly temperature (maximum and minimum) and monthly Precipitation for 15 climatic stations. I want to develop SWAT Model. I
Is it possible to use monthly data only for these variables?
Or is it possible to develop model if I use the daily data of Tmax, Tmin and Precipitation?
Thanks in anticipation.

Regards
Naveed

Daily data of which parameters?

Precipitation, min and max temperatures, relative humidity, wind speed and solar radiation.

Then how we can apply SWAT Model for data scarce watersheds?

Dear Naveed ahmed,

You can use satellite based datasets in such a situation.

You are bound to use daily data of Precipitation, T max and T min . If you are working in data scarce region then you can use gridded data sets (A
vailable in Public domain) . However, You have choice in getting output for daily , monthly or annual.

Hi dear,
Thanks for the message.
It means that precipitation and temperatures daily time series are enough for SWAT Model simulations in data scare watersheds.

Yess, If you don't have Solar radiation, Wind speed etc .. You can use weather generators for instance CFSR world. And the model will calculate these parameters by itself based on your Precipitation and temperature data.

Hi dear,
Thanks for your message.
Could you please share CFSR dataset website or any helpful link...from where I can get information how to use them for swat modelling.
Thanks once again.

Hi,
You can easily download CFSR world data for your region from SWAT website
