SWAT-CUP 5.1.6.2 swat.exe unknown

Hello, 

I just downloaded the new version of SWAT-CUP and began a run, but there is a message (attached) that shows swat.exe is unknown. I have tried to copy the swat.exe version used in ArcSWAT and I have also tried using the swat.exe  from the SWAT-CUP new version  External Sources folder. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

swat.exe is not unknown, your swat model does not run. Make sure you have a functioning swat model before calibrating it.

Hello Karim, 

Thank you for your response. I have checked my ArcSWAT model version and it is 2012.10_1.13 when I copied in the SWAT 2012 external source files for use with Parasol it does not run. I have now copied in SWAT 2009 files and SWAT CUP is running without any errors. Why is this the case?

well swat-cup just runs swat, that is all. If the files in txtinout are correct and swat is the correct version, then swat should run. Swat-cup just calls swat. The only time swat would crash in swat-cup is if it is supplied with very wrong parameters.

Hello Karim, 

So in this case running SWAT-CUP with SWAT 2009 executable will not affect my calibration results? I am confused as to why swat 2012 executable is not running my model in SWAT CUP, while the 2009 version is running it without a problem. Is there a download issue that I should be concerned about or running with 2009 version is fine? Thank you very much for your responses.

Swat is always changing, if swat2009 works for you, then stay with it, there should be no problem.
