Seeking multiple Data Center Engineer (Level 3) or Infrastructure
Solution Architects for a long term engagement to support a global
Insurance industry client.
· The ideal candidate must possess a wide array of skills to cover up to 6000 clients and up to 400 physical servers.
· The candidate must be familiar with data center hardware, networking hardware, Active Directory, common backup/restore software and using encryption keys to unlock servers.
· The Candidate will work to recover data and servers from ransomware attacks.
· MCSA and Security Certifications a plus.
·
Candidate
must be able to perform independently or as part of a team the following tasks
for server/datacenter recovery and or restoration services.
Technician must be able to independently or as part of a team, recover all
systems and applications as required using best practices or client
disaster recovery / business continuity plan.
Technical skills and experience should include:
· Managed large, complex environments with hundreds of servers across multiple data centers on multiple continents
· Coordinated with other teams to support network hardware such as firewalls, load balancers and switches and storage hardware such as SAN, DAS and NAS systems
· Administered VMware virtual machines, hypervisors and clusters with support from virtualization engineers
· Deployed and administered Microsoft SQL Server in standalone and clustered environments
· Developed and implemented procedures for operational processes including deployment, upgrade, migration and maintenance
· Installed, configured, managed, and troubleshot information systems for over 400 physical servers supporting over 6,000 clients
· Extensive experience with Active Directory, Domain Name System, Windows Internet Naming Service, and Microsoft Exchange using virtual servers.
· Performed troubleshooting and diagnosis to hardware/software network failures, and provided resolutions ensuring all mission critical servers for the organization were continuously available.
· Problem-solved hardware issues with fault-tolerant hard drives.
· Extensive experience in the restoration of systems due to malware or ransomware infection scenarios.
· Must be confident in using unlock encryption keys if the client has opted to purchase/ pay the ransom.
