Role: Slack & MS Teams Administrator
Duration: 18 Months
Work Location: Remote until end of 2022; Contractor Must be ready to work onsite in future at New Brunswick, N.J.
Qualifications:
• Domain level expertise in Slack administration. Slack Admin Certification preferred
• Solid understanding of Enterprise SaaS applications and collaboration technology
• 4+ years of experience in IT Operations or IT Support in an enterprise environment
• Experience working in a compliance-driven environment (preferred)
• Proficiency and deep awareness of collaboration platforms and tools space (Office 365, Slack, Box, Dropbox, etc.) -
• A fundamental understanding of DevOps and Security best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required)
• Self-motivated, proactive, energetic team player
Responsibilities:
• Execute a formal comparison of Slack Plus Plan and Slack Grid offering features and functionality with Microsoft 365 Teams to include:
◦ Direct feature comparison
◦ Comparison of automation and workflow capabilities
◦ Use Case scenario comparison
◦ Review of existing Slack implementations in J&J and their Use Cases
• Develop potential Slack implementation models for J&J as a formal Global Service Offering
Includes Slack Plus Workspace and Grid offering
• Collaborates with peers to define and implement best practices for service management and support of collaboration tools
• Provide Operation support of existing Slack Plus Workspaces
• Propose Slack guidelines and organizational standards (Standards & policies)
• Propose Slack security tools and standards in conjunction with our global security office
• Provide guidance to Business users in the automating of business workflows and integrations including writing bots, connectors and automating auditing of compliance
• Acts as the technical lead for Slack services
• Acts as an escalation point for monitoring alerts and help desk tickets
• Creates documentation, workflows, and other supporting materials for systems topology, support, and administrative actions
• Collaborates with IT, Infosec, Compliance and Legal teams to set collaboration tool guidelines, standards, and policies
• Helps establish best practices for tracking and managing API permissions and integrations
• Maintains a security and compliance focused approach to design, configuration, and administration
• Troubleshoots, researches and resolves escalated technical problems and incidents in a timely and professional manner
• Expected to be active in training and mentoring others within the team
