Position: Data Center Facility Engineer

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term

 

Description:

• Monitoring of critical systems across multiple locations.

• Facilities Management
• Hands & Feet support
• Monitoring activities on Datacenter Servers/Hardware

• Racking, cabling management and Stacking , Patching.
• Rack elevation diagrams
• Windows ,VMware ,Storage adminstration
• Backbone cabling.
• Evaluate and approve Data Center space management.
• Communicate with customers over-the-phone or face-to-face to assist them in resolving issues.
• Troubleshoot facility systems problems to provide solutions.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance involving multiple facility platforms.
• Maintain inventory of data center supplies.
• Implement procedures, policies, and standards to ensure work operations are effective.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems.
• Participate in educational programs and workshops to improve on existing job knowledge/skill.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure work operations are carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
• Must be able to communicate efficiently.
• Must be able to rotate for training of shifts.
• Preferred experience with physical security.
• Decision making skills.
• Able to work without supervision.

 

 

Other Skills and Training:

• For this position it is preferred 5 years of IT experience or Associates degree in an IT Field.
• ITIL  knowledge recommended.

Basic Microsoft efficiencies.
