Position: Systems Engineer

Location: Cleveland, OH

Duration: Long Term

Visa: No OPT CPT

Technology: BackUp, Storage, Cyber Vault and Windows Administration

Job Description:

Strong Knowledge in Dell EMC – Data Domain Backup solution
Knowledge in data backup, archival and disaster recovery
Deep knowledge of the cyber recovery solution and its components
Strong understanding of windows server environment
Strong understanding of virtualization on VMware
Good understanding of Azure
Good hands on experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting of storage and backup environments
Good understanding of HA and DRS environments
Operational support with flexibility for 24/7 support
Firmware upgrades and OS / Security Patch update for network switches and cyber vault application
Handling/settings/configuring servers

Activities

Monitor the opening and closing of vault
Making sure the schedule for vault is in sync
Run recovery drills once every quarter and restore it back to the production site which will include building backup server and restoring data
Reporting any suspicious activity on data domain, security logs like login time user etc..
Report any hardware issues on the data domain, firewall, switch within the vault to dell support and coordinate any support/hardware issues
Run capacity planning report to understand the growth and make sure additional hardware is requested on time

Provide suggestions to increase security by bringing in additional software / hardware
