We need Appian Developer (L1 and L2 Certification) and
Appian Architect (L3 Certified).
- Experience
in BPM (Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activity, Oracle or IBM BPM, Pega, etc.).
- Experience
with Appian software, implementation and ability to translate
software requirements specifications into Appian applications and
prototype.
- Experience
with Jira and Confluence tools. o JavaScript programming (general and
component-based UI).
- Debug
and work with log files.
- Certified Appian
(Level1/Level2/Level3) developers
Project Controls Engineer (cost focused)
Location : Elkton, VA
Duration : 12+ Months
SUMMARY
Performs cost forecasting, monitoring and control
activities. This includes the preparation of cost performance and productivity
reports, analysis of supporting data, variance reporting and special studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION -
Bachelor’s degree in an accounting/finance or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
–Requires well developed verbal and written communication skills. Good computer
skills are mandatory. Ideally 5 + years of experience
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares project control
plans and detailed internal manpower utilization plans for discipline or
specialty activities.
- Participates in
developing and presenting designated training classes and on-the-job
training programs.
- Develops quantity
takeoffs for a discipline or specialty using defined documents or
undefined scope assumptions. Verifies quantities provided by others.
- Develops and applies
unit rates (cost and man-hours) to quantity takeoffs and to otherwise
developed quantities.
- Prepares specific budgets
and forecasts in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
Assists in developing the requirements for budgeting and forecasting
standards.
- Develops requirements
and standards for cost recording, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing;
performance measurement; productivity reporting; and variance reporting.
Performs performance monitoring and control functions.
- Prepares periodic cost
(man-hours, dollars, and quantities), performance and productivity
reports. Develops variance analysis as required to explain differences
between budget, actual and forecast expenditures.
- Prepares, monitors, and
reports cash flows.
- Assists in developing
specific work breakdown structures/project codes of accounts and
recommends appropriate modifications and revisions.
- Investigates
requirements for estimating and/or cost control data for specific
discipline or other specialty applications.
- Identifies or defines
data sources and techniques for data acquisition and collects required
data for a specific discipline or other specialty application. Performs
data analysis and development.

Work
with team by helping to (1) gather information/ data, (2) define areas of work,
(3) understand trade sequence, (4) understand individual trade durations, (5)
balance the workflow and (6) establish construction plan. Through collaboration
with the project team help plan work packages that can be completed within one
takt time, and provide analysis of the order of which they must be completed to
maintain schedule adherence. Work with field contractors on
progress updates (% complete) and provide an information platform that enables
real-time feedback processes, in order to increase the capability of timely and
effective correction interventions to positively impact schedule/completion in
terms of milestones.
