job title: SAP Payroll Technical Developer. This is a technical developer
resource for SAP payroll with experience in ECC, integration with ADP and with
SuccessFactors.
This position is responsible for delivery of global SAP solutions within the
supported process areas.
The Payroll Developer require strong Payroll knowledge and prior experience of
conversion of Payroll and Time processes from Third party (ADP) to SAP ECC
payroll system (on-prem) and Data Transfer from ECC to outside vendors.
Familiarity with SuccessFactors – Employee Central.
Demonstrate very good written and verbal communication skills to coordinate
with Implementation partner resources. Strong ability to independently convert
business requirements to Functional Designs and Test strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Understanding HRIS business needs and leading thoughtful design discussions
around meeting those business needs in a standard manner fully leveraging SAP
product capabilities.
•Developing and maintaining architectural and design direction and leading
teams to develop creative business solutions.
•Work with Customer Solutions analysts and business personnel to understand
various human resource related business processes, such as Organizational
Management, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Time Evaluation/CATS,
Compensation and Interfaces, and provide the technology to support these
processes.
•Developing, based on requirements submitted by the business, detailed
functional and technical specifications for changes to SAP systems.
• Design technical specs from Functional Specifications to develop customized
solutions.
•Performing unit testing of changes (configuration, custom development, etc.)
in development and staging environments, including regression testing of
functionality that may be impacted by change..
•Providing prototypes and implementation of new functionality based on client
needs.
•Providing support for other activities that impact the HR/Payroll system, such
as configuration changes to support changing business conditions, SAP ECC
upgrades, application of hot packs, project work, etc.
Qualifications:
Must have experience and understanding in the following areas:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems,
Business Administration or related field is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of responsibility working with large SAP ERP global systems.
• Experience large SAP ERP global rollouts including two full lifecycle
implementations of SAP HCM.
• Strong experience in US Payroll schemas and writing rules.
• Experience supporting international payrolls – specifically France, Italy,
UK, France, Germany is a plus.
• Experience in configuration, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and
implementing enhancements and break fix solutions to SAP HR/Payroll/Time
Management modules with very complex Payroll Schemas in support of production
activities. Knowledge of integration between Time Management, Payroll and FICO.
• Knowledge of integration between Time Management, Payroll and FICO.
• Strong Program Experience in Programming on Payroll clusters and Time
Management data.
• Strong in Interfacing techniques like RFC and BAPI, XI Proxy, IDOCS.
• Experience in Enhancements:
Implicit/Explicit, BADI, User -Exits, Info type Enhancement etc.
• Perform payroll configuration (examples: new wage types,
payment models, tax models, union deductions, payroll calendars, payroll areas,
benefit areas, etc.)
• Understand the process of BSI to SAP
• Experience on SuccessFactors Modules Integration with SAP and 3rd Party using
SAP CPI and Integration Central Development .
• Object Oriented development experience and Programming in HANA environment is
must
• Good knowledge of SuccessFactors’ product-suite, integration points, and best
practices.
• Highly self-motivated, driven work ethic, keen attention to detail and
exceptional customer service orientation.
• Ability to communicate technical information in an understandable manner to
non-technical audiences through writing and presentations.
• Work experience reflects a progression of increasing responsibility.
• UI5/Fiori, Java Script experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment and handle
multiple issues at once.
• Strong analytical skills ; ability to perform system analysis and draw
conclusions by relating information from different sources, including
root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Chemical/Energy industry background is a plus.
