Senior Software Engineer

The
OpenClinica Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the development of the
OpenClinica platform and related modules, as well as supporting customers and
the OpenClinica development community. The incumbent must be familiar with
clinical data management (CDM)
Responsibilities - The applicant must have strong experience in the following
- 5+ years of experience working
in a sprint-based Agile development with a frequent and ongoing exchange
of information between stakeholders, end users, and the DevOps team to
ensure that validated requirements are represented iteratively. Sprint
stages include requirement gathering, requirements validation, software development,
sprint demos, demo remediation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and UAT
defects remediation
- Design,
architect, and develop software applications using an agile development
model.
- Develop
new features and fix bugs that improve the OpenClinica platform,
architecture, infrastructure, and functionality.
- Write
unit and integration tests with JUnit.
- Perform
code reviews to ensure code adheres to high-quality standards.
- Work
with Cl/CD tools to automate build and deployment processes.
- Lead
production release of the software.
- Communicate
and Collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively. Respond as needed
to questions and requests from the OpenClinica Client Services team,
customers, and community members that involve some type of Technical
Support.

Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of development
experience with OpenClinica® modules including Insights and Unite tools
- 5+
years of professional experience (not internship) building Java-based
applications using Spring and Hibernate.
- 5+
years of experience designing, building, and consuming REST APls in a
security-conscious environment.
- 5+
years of experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity
with AWS cloud technologies
- Familiarity
with Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and mobile web development.
- Ability
to code to comply with Section 508 accessibility standards 1194, 205, 302,
502-4, 602-3
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain
ideas to both technical and non-technical people.
- Familiarity
with agile, git, and related processes/technologies.
- BS in Computer Science or
equivalent experience.
