Title: Azure Data Engineer
Duration: 12 months+
Work Location: Houston TX & San Ramon CA ( initially remote )
Mode of interview: 2 rounds of Video call ( 30 to 40 mins
each)
Rate: Open/ DOE
NO CPT/OPT rest all work visa acceptable
Skills required are – Data Engg, SCALA , Python , Databricks , Data Lake and PowerBI knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Developing and providing guidance to product lines on automating pipelines
- Providing guidance on API development, data quality methodologies, and information management practices.
- Communicating to less technical personnel on technical IT matters
- Providing guidance to product lines on translating product lines data needs into defined use case requirements for Data and Insights
- Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) creating multiple pipelines and activities using Azure for full and incremental data loads into Azure Data Lake Store and Azure SQL DW
- Working experience with Databricks
- Spark framework experience as well as experience optimizing Spark queries
- Experience for Azure Data Lake Storage and working with Parquet files and partitions.
- Azure experience in designing and implementing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
- Manage and resolve database access and performance issues
- Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems.
- Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft SQL Server
- Azure Key Vault and Azure Policies is a plus
- Azure certification would be desired
- Experience in architecture and implementation of large and highly complex projects
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in the Azure Environment including:
- Experience with Data Lake Architecture and Processes
- Experience with data pipelines
- Experience in canonical data modeling
- Experience in ansible scripting
- Experience in identifying and implementing integration patterns
- Experience with the governance of API’s
- Experience in developing service bus
- Experience of working with both structured and unstructured data environments
