Job Description:
Corteva Agriscience™ has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist. The successful candidate will join a strong, globally distributed Data Science team that develops
and applies innovative methods and tools to deliver insights for Corteva R&D, specifically around Genome Informatics.
Maintain and optimize a new informatics pipeline
Execute construction of a relational database integrating different forms of biological data.
Enable at-scale analytics for R&D
Develop workflows for integrating biological data
Work with Bio- and Cheminformatics Data Scientists to incorporate new analyses into workflows.
Python data science skills (Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, SQLAlchemy)
SQL and PostgreSQL database administration
Familiarity with Unix/shell environment
Version control with Git
Software containerization with Docker
Experience in creating web-based dashboards with Plotly Dash or R-Shiny
Experience in creating dashboards and visualizations using Spotfire
Practical cloud computing experience with Kubernetes
Experience with DNA/protein sequences data and using bioinformatics tools such as BLAST
Understanding of chemistry and experience with cheminformatics tools such as OEChem or RDKit
