Email to sms gateway for android configuration

Hello, I'm having trouble configuring the app on Android. I installed the latest version of Email To SMS Gateway. I set up an email account called telefony@mojadomena, and the test passed. I then added an alias and phone number (ets: 999999999)—this is a Polish carrier's number (9 digits). Now, when I send a short email to this address, I'd like it to be automatically forwarded to the phone number. I can't figure out how to configure this. Could you please help?

Thanks for reaching out. There have been a few recent changes to how Android handles SMS sending, which might affect how the Email To SMS Gateway app works depending on your Android version.

Could you please let me know:

  1. Which Android version your phone is running.

  2. The version of the Email To SMS Gateway app you currently have installed

Also, have you installed the SMS Plugin yet? It’s required on newer versions of Android to send messages correctly. You can find more information and the download links below:

Once I have those details, I’ll guide you through the exact setup for your device.

Well, hello there,
I'm writing back the second time, because the first answer is clearly either lost or still awaiting acceptance...
Answering questions:
1. Android version 8.1.0 works on your phone (it is possible to install this solution on Android 11 device)
2. Email to SMS Gateway is in the last current version,
3. The SMS Plugin plugin is also installed.
Unfortunately, after sending the e-mail to the selected e-mail address, apart from the information from the E-Mail to SMS Gateway, that such an e-mail is, nothing happens. I can choose which application to open the email.

Hello,

Thanks for the follow-up and for confirming everything’s set up. Could you please export the logs from the Email to SMS Gateway app and share them with me? That’ll help us see what’s going on after the email is received and why the SMS isn’t being sent.

Once I have the logs, I’ll take a look and let you know what we find.

I see you received an email at 28/10/2025 08:04:25, and 4 other times. Ideally it should work. 
I suspect there may be a config issue. Could you confirm the alerts are configured correctly and the alias matches the one included in the email?
Also please confirm if you're using any Polish characters.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots!

Your alias setup with “ets: dudziak” looks good. However, in the screenshot you shared, the email subject is “Bartosz Dudziak,” which doesn’t match what the system expects.
Just change your email subject to “ets: dudziak” and it should work fine.
If you prefer, you can also set up the alias using a phone number (for example, “ets: 1234567”) and use the same format in your email subject.
