I would love to see Pinker but not so much that I would go to California to see him! It looks like it is live only.

I just finished the book yesterday. Have not yet written my review. Some interesting and thought-provoking ideas and a good candidate for Sunday Philosophers. The writing could be a bit better, e.g., he carefully defines terms I know but uses big words I am not so sure of. It's a 4 but definitely not a 5 in my opinion.

Sounds great! Thanks, Janet!!!

Karl and I are thinking of going.

it’s at politics and prose, I think, right, in Northern DC or Silver Spring on Connecticut Avenue.

I wonder if it will be recorded?

Steve,

Glad you and Karl found something of interest. This group, Live Talks Los Angeles is in Los Angeles. Politics & Prose in DC does have some interesting authors, too, but this is not that.

There is a virtual option for the Maria Shriver talk at this link.

I started to say thanks, but then I looked at the details!! You still have to pay for the virtual event. It includes a signed copy of the book but is $56.00! I already have the book. I think I will pass!! 😿😾

There is a remote option to view Stephen Pinker talking in Los Angeles, you don’t have to go there in person

In addition to the expensive, virtual, and far away event with Stephen Pinker, he is also speaking at politics and prose.
