Ozeki Kotozakura, who will be facing his second kadoban basho in Nagoya, served as a one-day police chief at a commercial facility in Nishi Ward, Nagoya City on the 9th. He proudly displayed a salute while wearing a kimono. He called for traffic safety by raising objections to things like riding a bicycle (which he himself sometimes does) with an umbrella while holding it and failing to stop at stop signs, and said, "I want everyone to be careful when using bicycles in order to reduce accidents. It was a good experience." He withdrew from the last basho due to injury, and he expressed his determination, saying, "I will aim to win the yusho and continue to work hard to aim for a higher rank."
