As many have said, I never expected a Sugar reunion, so it has been a nice gift to catch these first two shows. Saturday, the band seemed a bit rusty, but Sunday they were on point. Shows were loud, but not deafening. Same setlist both nights. Bob's vocals were in fine form, and David seemed to really enjoying being on stage. He gave a shout out to his kids on Saturday, who were in the audience.

The other really great thing about the show was running into so many long-time Sugar-listers. Here's a partial group photo, but we ran into David Israel at the Whitney Museum on Sunday, bumped into Conor McGrath upstairs at the show, hung out with Steve and Renae, Opu came up to chat and John C. stood with us on Sunday. Bumped into a bunch of other folks as well. Its funny to think how long we all have known each other in one form or another. My wife put it best saying how great it is to have a community of people like this.

We are heading home this afternoon, so not attending the Monday show - but looking forward to reports from it and other upcoming shows. We will be at the San Francisco show in the fall, looking forward to seeing folks there!

Sorry I missed everyone. That was a great show last night! Unfortunately, I'm back in Atlanta in my office.

I sent this a couple days ago and it bounced for oversized photos. I've resized and hopefully it goes through:

Really amazing two nights. It was great to meet up with some listers on Saturday — attached is the group photo from my phone as well as a candid of a group of listers in the crowd as viewed from the balcony on Sunday.

The setlist was perfect, the band’s energy was great. I hope that Malcolm’s able to round into fighting shape. The pace is breakneck and he works hard. On night two he seemed to again have trouble getting out from behind the kit.

Cannot believe these shows actually happened.

Am I the only one who’s already kind of jonesing for that McSorley’s dark ale?

That’s why I didn’t see anybody at the bar.
I was looking for this shirt:

Forgot about the one you folks are wearing…it’s in a different box in the basement ;-)

Can we get a left-to-right on the photo outside McSorley's? I'd love to put some faces to the names of people I've been vaguely aware of for the past 30 years.

I was right up at the rail in front of David on Sunday night with a bunch of Postcarders. Still bummed I missed y'all.

David,

I have that shirt and I also have the black sugar list shirt with the sugar packet.  If it was a little warmer I would have worn my shorts LOL.

I'm on the right in the group shot. Peter, you and I met up at a few Bob shows in Iowa in the mid-90s. I was younger and less grey then. :)

Of course I remember! What a fantastic show. I don't remember seeing the Sugar list shirt a couple of you are wearing.

Sent from my rotary phone.

I love seeing folks still wearing the Sugar List t-shirt. Makes me very happy. Still proud of that
