Bug when importing CSV dive log

I've spend a few hours now trying to import CSV into this app on both Windows and Mac. No joy.

There's a bug which is renumbering my logged dives and in some cases combining notes and other times it's using the time from a dive a line above which was disregarded.

To reproduce this issue:

1. Create CSV with the following:
1,07/07/2017,18:00:00,54:00:00,6.0,30,270,100,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,5,Good session learning the shit in a pool,6
2,09/07/2017,10:46:00,60:00:00,10.0,,210,70,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,1,,6
3,09/07/2017,13:46:00,60:00:00,12.0,,210,70,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,1,,6
4,09/07/2017,15:47:00,60:00:00,12.0,,210,70,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,1,,6

Note the headers are:

dive number,date,time,duration (min),maxdepth (m),watertemp (C),startpressure (bar),endpressure (bar),o2 (%),location,divemaster,buddy,suit,rating,visibility,notes,weight (kg)

2. Import as CSV manually.

Choose the correct headers as above.

3. You will see that 3 does not get imported.

I'd give you the full list to play with but why complicate things? It's already a mystery.

My friend insists this is an excellent app but I'm not going to be using it if I can't bring my history over :(

So, it looks like it's merging dives on import. How can I stop that?

Your times are off, you are importing as 54 hours and 60 hours rather than 54 minutes and 60 minutes. Try this:

 

1,07/07/2017,18:00:00,54:00,6.0,30,270,100,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,5,Good session learning the shit in a pool,6

2,09/07/2017,10:46:00,60:00,10.0,,210,70,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,1,,6

3,09/07/2017,13:46:00,60:00,12.0,,210,70,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,1,,6

4,09/07/2017,15:47:00,60:00,12.0,,210,70,21,Wraysbury,Krzysztof Bialecki,,Wetsuit 5mm,1,1,,6

I still can’t believe you managed to get a dive with 5 star visibility in Wraysbury!

I’m fairly local to Wraysbury about 30 minutes away so if you ever want to see what other things Subsurface and Subsurface-mobile can do give me a shout and I’ll show you. It’s got loads of features.

That was years ago. Nothing would get me back into that lake.

I live abroad in the warmth and with genuine good visibility watch the corals slowly dying. Enjoying them whilst they last😅
