Is there an API for Subsurface?

Hey everyone,

Sorry if this question has already been answered elsewhere, I was unable to find an answer if so.

Is there an API available for Subsurface to be integrated into other apps or websites? Or open source code available to build upon?

You have been unable to find an answer to the question is "open source code [for Subsurface] available to build upon?"

That may be one of the more fascinating things that I've read in a while.

Haha, clearly I need to do a better job looking. I'm quite new to this so I must have overlooked or misunderstood where it is available. Thanks for the reply, Dirk! Sorry to trouble.
