New coffee & snack place in North Beach, MD

For years, all the cycling routes on the Western Shore worth their salt stopped at Sweet Sue's, in North Beach.  A few years ago, it became the Bakeist, which was essentially the same business, except they stopped letting you use the bathroom.  Imagine my shock this spring when I saw that the Bakeist was no more:


Turns out they just moved down the street into a bigger space.  Phew!  But in the meantime, a French guy named Patrick has opened Elise's Market and Patisserie across the street (where the antiques store used to be):


It's not exactly Vie de France, but he's got a nice selection of baked goods and lots of outdoor seating.  Plus ça change!
