I am wondering if StoneEdge was aware of an issue with ShipRush for UPS.  Beginning Friday, there have been issues printing labels and obtaining rates.  As of yesterday, Z-Firm was not able to provide an ETA for resolution.  Anything SE can do to help get this resolved ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

We have been having the same issue. I contacted Ship Rush and they suggested changing the internet connection settings to either "Windows" or "Native". This did not solve the issue and after telling Ship Rush they said UPS is having issues.

We tried the Windows setting as well and just get a different error message and cannot get anything to print.  With the original Compatible setting, we can eventually get a label to print (sometime on 1st try, sometimes after 5th or 6th try).

We also got a different error message after changing the connection settings. I also noticed that once I changed the setting and tested the connection I got 301 errors when connecting to google.com and Microsoft.com. That seems to me that the issue is with ShipRush and not UPS.

We also had the same issue and spent considerable amount of time on the phone with ShipRush.  The issue turns out is not ShipRush but SE.  Here is how we figured it out...

We tried changing the connection to Proxy, Windows or Native without any success.  Then finally one of the ShipRush techs suggested to completely close ShipRush AND SE.  Then start ShipRush by itself as if you are just doing a shipment directly from ShipRush.  Type in all the information manually (not transferred directly from SE the way it happens when SE is opened) and try.  ShipRush worked correctly without any problems.  It connected to the UPS server and printed the label.

Then we tried doing it again but this time letting SE open ShipRush and transfer the shipping information to ShipRush and the connection error came right back.

ShipRush told us that it has something to do with SE so I contacted SE about it.  SE got back to me stating that they had forwarded the issue to the developers but in the meantime, we would have to use UPS Online Tools instead.   Have not heard back from them about it.

We see the same exact issue with SE out of the loop so I do not believe this has anything to do with SE.   The issue is intermittent, so sometimes it will work on the first try, sometimes we get the error.

Z-Firm informed us that the issue pertains to their UPS Basic product.  They are working with UPS to figure out what was changed on the UPS side, so they can address it in their own code.

All,

Ship Rush contacted me and instructed me to follow these settings (below). These settings were already applied on the two computers I tried. I restarted them both and still got the same error.

1. Fully exit ShipRush
2. Open Windows Control Panel (hint: on Windows 10, search for Control Panel in the Cortana search to get to the right area)
3. Adjust View to Small Icons
4. Go to Internet Options
5. Select the Advanced tab
6. Scroll down and find the TLS options.  Make sure TLS 1.2 is enabled
7. If SSL v2 and/or v3 are currently enabled, uncheck the boxes next to these options
8. Hit OK out of Internet Options
9. Right-click the ShipRush for UPS icon on your desktop and select "Run as Administrator"
10. Go to Settings --> Shipping Settings
11. Expand Advanced on the left and select Internet Connection
12. Click Configure Internet Connection
13. Set the option to Windows
14. Hit OK out of Settings and fully exit ShipRush again
15. Reboot the PC (don't skip this step!)
16. Open ShipRush for UPS and retry - rate and ship should work without error

If you continue to experience issues, please take a screenshot of the TLS settings in Windows Control Panel, and the ShipRush internet settings in Shipping Settings > Advanced, so we can review further.

Same here.  Our Windows 7 machine is now working properly with only TLS 1.2 enabled and set to SR set to Windows instead of Compatible.   However, our Windows 10 machine does work with any SSL combinations and SR set to Windows.  We have emailed them screen shots as requested and have yet to hear back.  I suggest anyone still having issues to do the same so this get resolved ASAP.

Hi Cole -

Well, somehow, our Windows 7 machine that was working this morning has stopped working.  I cannot get our other Windows 7 machines to work, either.

What SR build are you using?

Paul

I'm using build 11.0.8.7313

That’s exactly the build we are running as well.

@StoneEdge: Not sure this is going to be the solution presented by SR, but will their latest version 12 work with StoneEdge 7.0x?

I have this feeling that Ship Rush will end up suggesting upgrading to the latest version, but I don't think our setup will run it.

As we suspected, they had to release a new version to resolve this issue.  They told me that if SE works with v11, it should work fine with v12.  Some feedback from SE would be appreciated.

Thanks,

We are running SR FedEx 12 without any issues.  We are also running SR UPS 12 on one windows 7 machine without any problems but all other machines we have tried to install SR UPS have the same network problem.

Carlos –

Are you using the release that just came out yesterday afternoon to specifically address this issue?

I just tested ShipRush UPS Basic Version 12.1.11.2439 with Stone Edge 7.036 in a Windows 10 environment, and I was able to successfully print a label as well as Rate shop from within ShipRush.  I did have to make sure that in IE I only had TLS 1.2 enabled and I had to change the Internet Connection setting in ShipRush to Windows and then reboot my PC for it to work though.  When I just downloaded the the latest version of ShipRush and tried to print a label or rate shop in ShipRush I received the same errors that everyone has been seeing.

What version did they release this week? The latest release I see if from June of this year.

It seems like upgrading ShipRush to the beta release (www.shiprush.com/beta) is their official solution to the problem. Has anyone else tried this and been successful?
