Temporary Outage: USPS Label Printing in Stone Edge Order Manager

Dear Stone Edge Users,


We are currently experiencing a temporary outage affecting the ability to print USPS shipping labels through the Stone Edge Order Manager. This disruption appears to originate from the USPS side.


Our team is actively working to identify the root cause in coordination with USPS and is conducting ongoing testing to validate potential resolutions. At this time, there is no estimated time of resolution (ETA).


USPS has been notified and is aware of the issue. We will share updates and further information as it becomes available.

Any updates on this issue? we're at least 2 hours into not being able to ship on a busy Monday.  If it's not going to be fixed in the next hour or so,  we will have to fall back to manually shipping USPS.com for urgent orders. 

Pls advise.

As a point of interest.  I can tell you that not everyone is down as far as i can tell or we would have gotten a lot of calls (but some) about the problem.

We were down all day on a busy Monday and had to manually ship all of orders out which took three times as long. Hopefully this is resolved asap!

We are definitely still down, 5 hours in.  

I wonder if it's a regional issue somehow? we're in California.

Would love to get an official update (even if it's just status update) from SEOM folks.

We are just outside Philadelphia and we have been down since about 11AM this morning. We have been using Dazzle all day but I just had our shipper try shipping through SEOM a few minutes ago with still no Joy

When we upgraded, we re-integrated Dazzle so that we could use our lower NSA contract rates (not supported by SEOM Shipping) and Dazzle worked fine for us all day.  So, if it is a USPS issue it may be just through EasyPost/Stone Edge.

Latest update from a Director at USPS:

The issue has been idfentified and flagged as "Critical". The portion of their API that issues Payment Tokens required for printing labels is not functioning.  The Payment Tokens are issued and valid for a period of time before eventually expiring and needign to be regenerated.  This is a system-wide outage affecting all USPS customers and system integrators on USPS v3 API, however, depending on when the integrators last payment token was issued, it may go unnoticed.  As of 5:30PM Eastern, we are told that the issue is a "all hands on deck" issue and should be fully resolved within two hours.  We will continue to monitor it and stay in contact with USPS until it is resolved. 

For what it's worth, EasyPost (the label printing engine behind a lot of large shipping applications) was down on July 9th for an extended period for the exact same issue.  Stone Edge/Connect2Cart was not affected because our Payment Token happened to remain valid throughout the duration of the outage.

I'm late with this update, but USPS came back online last night.  We've done end-to-end testing and it appears there are no issues at this moment.
