I have a customer who wants us to ship about 200 orders to her client list for Christmas. She has a excel file of the addresses. What is the best way to get SEOM to create an order for the item to each address?
Thanks
Earl

We’ve done this before by creating a generic cart and importing it that way via a CSV file you’ll have to go in and map the fields out which isn’t hard at all but once you get it right, it’s one click of a button and you import all the orders. We’ve also done this if we need to create a massive purchase order we just create a customer order for the products we want and then the purchase order system shows that they’re needed.

Do you have an opportunity where I can earn more of your business?

Sean gave the best answer - save the excel file as a CSV file and then create a Generic Order import mapping for it.  Once you do that, create a new "generic" shopping cart and assign the template to that cart adn then you're ready to import.  It's a one time setup, but once its setup you can use that Excel/CSV file as a template for orders coming from anyone else.

Here's the full documentation on how to do this. If you need help, give us a call on Monday and we can show you how to do it.
