Hello, Stellarium,

I notice that each line in log.txt begins with a bracketed timestamp:
    /Applications/Stellarium.app/Contents/MacOS/stellarium
    [     0.415][INFO] -------------------------------------------------
    [     0.416][INFO] [ This is Stellarium 25.1 (v25.1.0) -
https://stellarium.org/ ]
    [     0.416][INFO] [ Copyright (C) 2000-2025 Stellarium
Developers               ]

Thanks for making the text in the log panel selectable.

Is this new in 25.1?  It's not described in guide.pdf, nor does
it appear inFigure 4.49: Help Window: Logfile.
(it would be useful for string searches if that title
included the string "log.txt".)

(it would be useful if the hyperlink in:
  3 The Log Tab
The Log Tab (Fig. 4.49) shows messages l...
were highlighted.)

Is there a way to make all panels more legible by
making the background lighter?  I can't find anything
in config.ini.

Thanks,

The hyperlinks in the Guide are deliberately not highlighted to prevent ugliness. All numerical references are hyperlinks, and there is a table of contents as well.

You may want to read section 6.3 on customized colours.

That's valuing esthetics above utility.

Thanks.  Must I start Stellarium from command line every time with:
    stellarium -- gui - css m y O w n G r e a t S t y l e
or can the default be set, perhaps in config.ini?

I suppose I could create a shortcut.

In log.txt I see:
    [     5.507][INFO] Loading style file: :/graphicGui/normalStyle.css

Where is the file /graphicGui/normalStyle.css?
I can't find it anywhere.

See section 6.2 on the same page as section 6.3: STEL_OPTS

Read section 6.3.1 again.
