(a) whether the Government has issued any advisory to all States and UTs for reducing 10 per cent of oil in cooking in view of childhood obesity and if so, the details thereof;

Sir/Madam, The Government of India through Ministry of Educational and in consultation with of Ministry of Health and Family welfare as issued advisory to all the state for reducing 10% of oil in cooking vide D.O.No. 1-14/2024-PMP (Health) dated: 15-03-2025. The same was communicated to all the District Educational Officers in the Telangana State with request to take necessary action on reducing the use of cooking oil by 10% in day to day food without fair Vide Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad Proceeding NO.1387/PM POSHAN/2025 Dated; 19-03-2025. |

b) Whether any training proposed to be given to teachers to identify obesity in students and guide parents to take suitable remedial measures, if so, the details thereof; and

The Telangana Government has given instructions to medical and health department to identify obesity in students through primary health centers which are located nearby schools and guide the parents to take remedial measures. Accordingly the primary health centers are conducting health checkups and identifying the obesity and also other problems through RBSK. |

(c) The number of schools appointed student health ambassadors, State/UT-wise?

Already health department staff engaged for this purpose. |
