SUPRome 2023

In 2023 SUPRome doubles:

SUPRome® is a urban river paddling event in the city of Rome dedicated to Stand Up Paddlers within the TIBER TOUR (a paddling, cycling, walking event of 200 km starting from Umbria that in several days reaches Rome and then the sea).

SUPRome is not a race and you just compete with yourself with the amount of city beauty that you can capture.

Is a paddling experience under historical and contemporary bridges, ranging between more than 2.300 years.

• On the 30th of April there will be the Aniene river edition (the Aniene is a tributaty of the Tiber river). The stage will go from the Riserva Naturale Valle dell'Aniene to the Tiber river (Ponte Matteotti), for a total of 15 km and river with I/II class rapids. Timetable in the river: from 13:00 to 17:30.

Meeting point: 10 AM Lungotevere in Augusta (exact location will be given after registration).

 

• On the 1st of May, there is the classic SUPRome, on the Tiber River, from Ponte Matteotti to Ponte Marconi, 10 km with I class rapid and one III class passage where is possible, however, to do portage on the river banks. During the descent there will be a stop along the river in order to sightseen both Castel Sant’Angelo and San Peter Basilica. Timetable in the river: from 12:00 to 17:00.

Meeting point: 10 AM Lungotevere Dante (exact location will be given after registration).

 

Logistic info:

SUPRome is more suitable for inflatable boards that you can carry on the shuttle bus, which leaves in the morning from the arrival point and will drove the paddlers to the starting point.

Please be aware that no gear can be left at the starting point, and everything needs to be carried on the board, on the shuttle bus bring your essential gear and packet lunch and water (Single Use Plastic is not allowed)

Cost:

Participating to SUPRome cost 20 euro and includes shuttle bus and an evening light meal.

Facilities will be available at the arrival of each stage.

Hi Roberto, 

Thank you for your email, we will definitely would like to take part in SupRome event,  Can you advise where we could stay in Rome so it is close to the starting point / shuttle bus ? 

With regards to the first event on the 30th, could you advise if it will be ok with inflatable boards and if it will also be easy access in public transport to get to the meeting point. 

Is the cost of the SupRome 20 EUROS per person ? What about the other event, how much does it cost?

Hello Isabel,

as a suggestion I would search for an accommodation nearby  the "Ara pacis"  Lungotevere in Augusta (it is in the city area and could be expensive).

Both events are suitable for inflatables and are contiguous, for both there is a shuttle bus.  

For the 30th the meeting point is at Lungotevere in Augusta from where we will start again the 1st of may.

The cost, including shuttle bus and light evening meal is 20 euro for each event, plus the sport club card (which is 15 euro).

So one stage/event is 35 euro (20 + 15) two stages is 55 820+20+15).

Thank you again for the information, we would like to register for both of the events: 

On the 30th of April for the Aniene river

On the 1st of May for the classic SUPRome

That will be 2 adults, I can see that the total is 55 Euros per person
