It's on the wanted list and is 79,000 words.
PG scan
How is this for artwork? An Inn was a building that lawyers lived in and worked from. By the early 20th century such usage had almost disappeared and the buildings were mostly rented flats. In one such flat the mystery occurred.

OK, you can work on that. Please send a link to your repo once you start.

There are some illustrations. I think we can cut the illustration of the
door by the preface. The rest we should keep and they should be
converted to SVG.

I don't know if it's important but se find-mismatched-dashes . failed to find prima-facie and prima facie.

OK, Robin will manage with Emma reviewing.

find-mismatched-dashes only finds mismatches between dashed words and
whole words. It can't search for spaces because there would be far too
many false positives.

The cover art hasn't been approved yet. Once that is done, I'll start my review.

Sorry, my fault, I thought I saw Alex approving it. No problem with that image, I’ve uploaded it to https://standardebooks.org/artworks/ernst-ludwig-kirchner/dance-hall-bellevue-obverse.

issue: The notes/letters about the spectacles need to be in
s.

I'm doing something wrong but don't know what as it doesn't display properly. I have:

“ ‘Right eye”

plain glass

“ ‘Left eye

−5.75

D. spherical

−3.25

D. cylindrical, axis 35°.’

It should look like:

“ ‘Spectacles for constant use. Steel frame, Stopford’s pattern, curl sides, broad bridge with gold lining. Distance between centres, 6.2 centimetres; extreme length of sidebars, 13.3 centimetres.

...

issue: Re-run se modernize-spelling . and commit the changes.

I do this and it reintroduces séance and précis instead of their MW entries seance and precis. Should I keep them? I had changed them to their MW spellings.

Thank you.
When I add [obverse] to the painting name I get an error:

issue about lists under the image: Replace the custom CSS with the following. Double check that this looks similar to the page scans.

The column of A, B and C now appears. There is already an A and a B in the diagram in the text.

I have an error that says no opening “ for ...the process?”. There is an opening “ with
“9:40.

“9:40 S.E. Start from home.

9:41 S.W. Granite setts.

9:43 S.W. Wood pavement. Hoofs 104.

9:47 W. by S Granite crossing. Macadam—

and so on. Note every change of direction, with the time; and whenever you hear or feel anything from outside, note it, with the time and direction; and don’t forget to note any variations in the horse’s pace. You follow the process?”

This appears to emulate the text:

The list should still be in a
element.
