PG just released a new Georgette Heyer book. Like other Heyer books, The Great Roxhythe has very simple formatting.

repo link: https://github.com/EmmaSweeney/georgette-heyer_the-great-roxhythe

This book does have a 1st edition dust jacket:

1. The Great Roxhythe by Walter Lambert (PD proof)
roxhythe-cover-1.jpg

If you don't like the dust jacket, some editions use paintings of King Charles II, like the following:

2. King Charles II by John Michael Wright (PD proof)
roxhythe-cover-2.jpg

OK, Robin will manage this with Vince reviewing.

Not sure about the cover, it might be too illustration-like. Hard to say
because the scan is very low res.

I’m sure it’s because I’m English, but the painting of Charles II is too obviously a painting of Charles II to subtitle with “The Great Roxhythe” to me.

As with Alex, I’m a little torn on the first edition. It’s a nice composition, but the quality to me isn’t quite at the level that I’m super happy with. But if nothing else comes up or if you’re really happy with it then we can go with it.

I believe the dust jacket is the best option. I used an AI upscaler and touched up some of the wear and tear so that it won't look too damaged.

I've looked at other paintings made around the Stuart Restoration period, but they don't look as good as Charles II's portraits.

OK, I’ll add it to the DB. Alex: if, on reflection, you decide this is definitely something we shouldn’t do please decline it and let us know.

Now that I look at the larger version I think it's OK. Still definitely
oil of some kind.

Excellent as always, Emma, nothing much for a reviewer to do. :) Two trivial items in the review issue.
