Great, that one would be a good start. Wiejia will manage with David
reviewing.

There's a dedication and an epigraph, see the manual for copy and paste
styling for both. Since there is frontmatter you will have to add a half
title page. A regex can remove the page numbers and drop caps all in one
go before you split files. Otherwise this should be pretty straightforward.

Make sure to read the Standard Ebooks Manual of Style before starting,
as you won't know what to fix if you haven't read the standards. In
particular, please closely review the semantics, high level patterns,
and typography sections:

Maybe I could jump in now, and we might save some grief later.

You've committed `body.xhtml` with the Gutenberg license intact. See the "Rough cleanup" step of the Producing guide, especially the third bullet point about removing the license. If you don't remove it now (a fairly simple rebase), it will require a more complex one later!

Hopefully we can catch this now. Perhaps also an early alert about the need to follow the "step-by-step" quite closely in this first production!
