When creating a new jupyter notebook, I end up creating it in the /tmp folder. How do I specify where it gets created? Or if possible, how can I save the file to an absolute path? The relative path saver puts me 10+ directories away from where I need to be.

Hey Austin.
To save a new Jupiter notebook in a specified folder, I usually first choose/open my system folder after opening Jupyter then choose new python file that is located on the top right of the window.
I hope it may help you.
Sincerely
Jim Lareau
