Spyder on Windows-10 + Python-3.8

Dear Spydercommunity,

is anybody here using Spyder on Windows-10 with Python 3.8?

I've got that working fine on my Linux machine but facing some serious issues on Windows, see my post on StackOverflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/58557238/spyder-ide-fails-to-start-on-windows-10-with-python-3-8

Hi,

Suppor for Python 3.8 on Windows will come once Anaconda adds support for it. However, I can see there are still really important problems to be solved before that can happen (specially the Tornado ioloop one).

thanks a lot for your reply! In the meantime, for all who can't wait, I found a work-around: https://stackoverflow.com/a/58682830/10197418 - I'd say this is for more experienced users, best try it in a venv to not mess with things you need elsewhere.
