How to change a default setting

[Red Rhythm]

So currently, when I have a string that's all capital letters like 'USA', it returns 'Usa' on the console.  

Is there a way to change this to what the string originally has it?

I couldn't find a way through preferences, so maybe one of you can help me out.

It is quite strange. How do you get this? Could you tell the exact
steps you follow so others can reproduce it and check what is
happening?
