Hi,

I have noticed that spyder is getting slower especially with 42.3. There's quite a bit of lag when typing on the editor window. So much so that I rolled back to 4.2.2 where it is more bearable. I am using it on windows 10 and my computer is quite recent. The only difference is that now I use the installer instead of the conda package. I thought it was due to the linting packages but I am not so sure

Anyone else have noticed something similar.

Again thanks to the whole team that develops spyder, I just love it!

I have also noticed that more recent versions of spyder tended to crash almost every day, whereas previous versions would run for days if not week. So I uninstalled it and instead of the installer version used pip to install it again and it seems to run smoothly again. Any reason why the pip installed version would be more stable than the one from the Windows 10 installer?
