Time series Calibration of Sugarcane Yield on SWAT+ ToolBox

Hi James,

I am writing to report an issue I've encountered with the automatic calibration function of the SWAT+ Toolbox (v3.1.0).

I have set up a model for a large basin that includes a scheme of 16 HRUs representing irrigated sugarcane farms. I run the model with the plant function checked at HRU yearly. My goal is to calibrate the model using an annual yield time series for 16 HRUs.

However, when I initiate the automatic calibration process, it becomes unresponsive and does not proceed. This issue occurs specifically when I select "yield" as the variable to calibrate at the HRU level.

Could you please advise on any potential solutions or required configuration steps I might have missed?

How many HRUs do you have and how many years are you running? It is likely that each run is producing very large outputs (e.g. over 10GB files) that it takes long to extract for each of the 16 HRUs from those outputs (this is even more of an issue if you run more years and you need a powerful computer with more RAM).

Could you tell how many HRUs you have so we can rule out output sizes?
