Hello All,

I think it's obvious that I'm part of the CentOS exodus and I want to aks you if anyone has managed to make Springdale Linux work with the CentOS SIGs and/or EPEL.
Is there any alternative to CentOS SIGs on Springdale ?

I'm currently using the NFS Ganesha, Samba and Gluster SIGs on CentOS 7.

Thanks for taking the time for stopping by.

Best Regards,
Strahil Nikolov

EPEL and RPM Fusion both free and non-free are safe on Springdale. I am not familiar with CentOS SIGs. Proceed with caution. In my experience Springdale is closer to upstream than CentOS. If you are using third party repos for example for CUDA use Red Hat repos not CentOS repos.

@Predrag

I think the Strahil means this: https://www.centos.org/about/governance/sigs

I wouldn't know since I just arrived here at Springdale.

I just wanted to add ELRepo (https://elrepo.org) to the mix. ELRepo's
kmod packages should work just fine because Springdale's kernels
maintain kABI compatibility with RHEL.

Hey All,
thanks for your answers.
Based on the comments, it seems that there is no projects like CentOS SIGs, but they seem to work as both CentOS and Springdale are downstream of RHEL.
I think it's worth spinning several VMs with the SIGs mentioned.
