Estensione Finder Crea PDF che non funziona

Ciao a tutti,
ho un Macbook del 2017 con SSD, con installato Big Sur.
Riscontro un problema di funzionalità quando si tratta di unire vari file PDF.
Dopo aver selezionato i vari file PDF e applicato la funzione da menu Azioni Rapide "Crea PDF" non mi genera il PDF di unione (cosa che avviene perfettamente in un iMac che dispongo) e non mi da nessun errore.
L' estensione è presente nella cartella "Estensioni" del Finder (visibile in impostazioni) e "Crea PDF" è selezionato.
Cosa può essere? Forse salva il file in una cartella nascosta?
Se qualcuno mi può aiutare lo ringrazio.

Se i PDF da unire si trovano tutti nella stessa posizione/cartella, il file di “unione" viene creato esattamente nella stessa posizione. 

Prova a riavviare il Mac tenendo premuto il tasto Maiuscole fini alla finestra di login scrivania del Finder, non tutto funzionerà, è normale, poi riavvia normalmente. Questa operazione esegue una serie di controlli, vuota la cache utente ed altri controlli.

Grazie Stefano, ho provato il tuo suggerimento (con dei file pdf sul desktop) ma non crea i PDF di unione.
Si sente un suono di creazione ma non appare il file, forse va in un'altra cartella?

Fai così, nomina tre file in PDF in X11Y4B-01, X11Y4B-02 e X11Y4B-03 poi usa il comando per creare il PDF. Il nuovo file si chiamerà X11Y4B cercalo con Spolight per vedere dove si trova (evidenzialo nei risultati di Spotligh con il tasti freccia poi premi e tiene premuto ⌘ e Invio, si aprirà la cartella dove si trova)

Riavvia tenendo premuto ⌘-R per accedere alla partizione di recupero, e dalla finestra Utility macOS seleziona reinstallando MacOS, è una operazione che non comporta perdita di dati, che sostituisce eventuali file o estensioni corrotti.

ho provato la procedura ma mi porta a reinstallare l'intero sistema operativo
Sai per caso qual'è il file plist dopo sono le azioni rapide. Potrei recuperarlo dal time machine..

Lo reinstalla sul vecchio senza perdita di dati, sostituendo i file corrotti con nuovi, secondo me puoi procedere.
