Hello,

I am having some trouble with the Search feature of a Sphinx project once it is hosted online. I am unable to search for a string of numbers, and when I do search text, my results display the RST source code, and not the "printed" text. Can somebody please help me to figure out what is wrong with my project.

Thank you,

Garrick

Is the source code for this documentation accessible somewhere? If not,
what do you have in your conf.py?

Best,
Jean

Jean,

Attached is a ZIP folder with my comf.py index.rst, and a few page source files. I hope this is helpful.

- From the Python 2 syntax in the configuration file, I infer that you
are not using Sphinx 4 which is the current stable release series. Can
you try upgrading Sphinx?
- You use html_use_opensearch. Did you try without it? Does it make a
difference?
- You load a main configuration file. What does it contain?

Thanks,
Jean

What version of Sphinx do you use?

You said "once it is hosted online". Does it mean that locally it both works (viewing local HTMLs)?

Both searching numbers and showing better summary are improved the newer release. So please upgrade your Sphinx.
