Hello,

I'm considering using Sphinx for my organization's Knowledge Base, it looks it's an improvement over our current solution.

However, all my searches about LDAP integration returned almost nothing, and it is not clear how we can manage including / excluding some documents, or the whole document branches, from the document tree based on the user's group memberships?
How do you regulate if one can see a document or not?

Regards,

Sphinx isn't a web server or any other server.  If you are going use it to generate a knowledge base, then you are going to need another tool (web server, network share, confluence, etc) that is responsible for the protection you are looking for.  Someone may be able to offer some recommendations/suggestions if you provided a bit more detail.  What output format are you looking at, eg html or pdf?  If your team uses Atlassian tools there is a confluence builder extension you might want to look at.  You will probably also need a CI tool to generate new documentation when some makes a change (TeamCity/Jenkins/etc) as well as source control (SVN/git/etc).  Your source control tool may also be able to restrict RW permissions.
