Dear Colleagues and friends,

I wanted to share information about “Hadley Help”, which offers free technology courses for students with low vision or blindness and the professionals and families who support them.

The link to the website is: https://hadleyhelps.org/learn?topic_id=14

Hadley offers practical help, connection and support free of charge.

You do need to create an account to access the free learning resources.

In Technology, you can select from the following topics:

Android, Apple, Computer Skills, Books and TV, and Alexa and Zoom.

Kind regards,

Phia

Hi again, dear colleagues and friends,

Thanks to Lee Strickland for pointing out that only people living in Canada or the US can sign up for a “Hadley Helps” account.

So unfortunately, we will miss out on that help over here!

Apologies that I wasn’t aware of this restriction.

Kind regards,

Phia

Hi again,

Just to clarify, people outside of the US and Canada can access the video resources and it appears that they will also send out their braille reading books to Australia.  Joining up to log into their professional partnership program is only for US and Canada.

I will still share this with people as lots will be helpful, I think particularly for adults who have lost sight later in life.

: )
Warm regards,
Lee Strickland
