New to TPP: trouble understanding search parameters

I am completely new to this. I'm having difficulty understanding the "choose tandem parameters file" in the X!tandem pipeline. How do I choose these parameters? I have mzML files I've downloaded from the proteomic data commons, I was planning to use some of these files to explore the TPP pipeline but I don't understand this choose parameter step. I know there is a demo for the TPP, but it isn't helping me understand this step.
