glass recycling schedule

For those of you who have been just as confused as I have been about the glass pickup days here is a link to a map that shows the schedule by color coded areas. (I tried to attach the map to this email but it was too big). First week means first full week of the month, etc. From a thread on the FB Corvallis Conversations page it was obvious that there are many people confused by Republic Services scheduling...

Thanks, Lisa. Yes, confusing, especially if you live on Alexander, which is where the red and the green colors meet. So which week might it be, the first week or the second…? Or does one side of the street get pickup on the first week, and the other side the second…? Hmmm. 

We’ve given up and just take our glass to the recycle container at the Coop. Knowing all the glass collected gets crushed and spread on the roads at the landfill for “gravel” isn’t really “recycling” anyway.
