Measure power consumption via cable

Hi,

I am currently using tasmota on a Delock 11827.

It works flawlessly, thanks for the amazing work.

I would like to monitor the power consumption of my boiler, but it is not using a electric socket; its cable goes directly to the electric cabined.

I have seen that there are inductive/EM clamp that can be used to monitor the current/voltage through a cable.

Are there any recommendations that work with tasmota?

But it would need to modify the cable.

I was looking for something around the cable.

You can’t put a clamp around both cores of a cable – it only works around a single core – whether it’s a CT or Hall effect device.

In the ‘cabinet’ the live wire will come from a breaker as a single core – you can use a split core CT to fit round the cable without removing the wire (must still be done with the power off.

To be honest better looking at the Shelly EM (which will fit on a DIN rail) or putting a junction box in with a PZEM
