Hi Jesse,
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
Described Audio is for the visually impaired. A narrator inserts a description of what’s happening on the screen between any character’s dialogue. Here in Canada, it’s called Described Video, in the US, Described Audio. I need to be able to share the video window within Pro Tools so the narrator can see the video and it’s time code and come in at the appropriate time as I record them to my timeline at the proper timecode.
A while back I did this with a narrator using SonoBus and VDONinja with no issues and no problem sharing the video window within Pro Tools, now I can’t.
Subsequent to my post, I tried to share the video window within Pro Tools in a Microsoft Teams Meeting and in a Zoom meeting. I can share any window that’s open, but as soon as I try to share the video window within Pro Tools, I get an error that there is no camera in MS Teams and just no screen share in Zoom. I tried MS Teams in MS Edge and Google Chrome. No Joy. Only tried Zoom in MS Edge.
Some time ago there was an issue in MS Teams that no window could be shared, but that was quickly resolved.
Not sure where the fault is, but since it's happening in 3 different apps, it's probably something at my end. I’ll have to do some more research tomorrow and/or over the next few days.
Thanks again for the quick reply.

I’ve tried Microsoft Teams, VDONinja and Zoom in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Duck Duck Go. None of them can share the video screen within Pro Tools. I’ve attached a picture to show the video window within a Pro Tools session.
I can share any other window in the share screen dialogue in all three apps in all three browsers.
I’m not sure if it’s a Windows 10 issue – I’m on the latest – or something just peculiar to my computer.
I have managed to find a workaround, thanks to a post in one of the MS communities:
Region to Share - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
Works a charm in MS Teams and VDONinja., although I shouldn’t have to use it, but certainly glad I found it.
I also found an extension for Chrome and Edge that stops Windows from automatically changing the volume in a Teams or similar meeting when playing back audio. One of my clients is a Casino in Niagara Falls. I produce some of their radio commercials, recording a voice remotely using Source-Connect and having the client in the session using MS Teams. If it was only one feed of audio, the levels going to MS Teams are stable. With the voice and music going back to the client, the audio levels dropped considerably, apparently a “feature” in Windows.
The extension is for Chrome but also works in Edge: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/disable-automatic-gain-co/clpapnmmlmecieknddelobgikompchkk?pli=1
Sure hope it keeps working <sigh>
