Hi all,

I would like to clarify some points regarding the submission. Maybe I missed some documents.

In Task 2, how do we actually submit multiple SOFA files? By email?
Also, should we provide the technical report along with the submission at the challenge deadline? I expect it will be convenient for everyone if we can submit the report later.

It is also my pleasure if you would provide an example code to write a SOFA file with the specified 24 bit, especially with Python. Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,
Yoshiki Masuyama

Hi Yoshiki,

Sorry for the delay.

We have now sent around an update that I hope answers most of your questions.

In short:

  • The submission forms are now available here: https://www.sonicom.eu/lap-challenge/.

  • The 24-bit requirement was a mistake; my apologies. Please upload the upsampled files in the same format as the downloaded files. There are some helpful examples for reading, adding, and writing SOFA files here: https://pyfar-gallery.readthedocs.io/en/latest/gallery/interactive/sofar_introduction.html.

  • We have extended the LAP challenge deadline. Please note that this report will not be published (if we plan on publishing anything from your report, we will contact you later). The report is just to give the LAP organisers a sense of what you did to achieve your results. It is not something you should spend too much time on.

Thank you for the questions; I can only apologise again for our delayed response.

Cheers,

Aidan
