Dear Solar Academy Family
It has been a long time of no activity from the members! How are you doing
wherever you are?!
We at the University of Nairobi are well still working as usual on issues
of capacity building in the area of solar energy.
We wish to welcome our newest members to the growing family of Solar
Academy, these being the latest 20 births on 14th May 2015.
On behalf of the entire family may I welcome the 'babies' and urge them to
feel free to articulate the issues on pv via this forum for the benefit of
all of us. Likewise I wish to urge the big brothers and sisters to share
with us their experiences out there vis a vis what we offer at the
training. We are formulating a survey questionnaire which should be ready
soon for us to catch up with you guys out there.
Once again welcome and thank you all for keeping our family grow.

LED market has been a bit slow with lots of challenges with cheap imports

Thanks for your Email regarding Solar Academy family. It is good that i share the challenges we have in our field since we acquired the knowledge from UoN. The National Youth Service has not supported us on the matters of renewable/green energy to do more in our units that are in remote areas but we are still bushing on with the management. We are still burning the fire!!!!. Am greatful to be associated with you in PV technology.
